Terms of Use

By accessing, installing, or using the VoxDivina platform — including the web application, Progressive Web App (PWA), iOS and Android mobile applications, and any integrated API or service — you (“User”) expressly declare that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms of Use (“Terms”), the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and any other policies published on the site.

Your acceptance is recorded electronically with date, time (UTC), document version, IP address, and device User-Agent, constituting valid proof of agreement. If you do not agree to any provision of these Terms, do not use the service. Continued use after notification of significant changes constitutes implied acceptance of the new conditions.

VoxDivina is a digital Bible reading and study platform that provides:

• Bible reading in multiple translations and languages
• AI-generated Bible audio (Text-to-Speech technology)
• AI Insights — Bible explanations and context assisted by Artificial Intelligence
• Chat AI — interactive Bible study assistant
• Structured reading plans (daily, thematic, annual)
• Personal annotations, bookmarks, highlights, and notes
• Reading progress tracking and spiritual profile
• Exclusive content for subscribers (audio, advanced plans, premium features)
• Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline support
• Public recognition of VoxDivina Guardians (voluntary contributors)

The service is operated by VoxDivina, a legal entity established in Brazil. Available features, prices, and plans may vary by region.

To create an account and use VoxDivina, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old or the applicable legal age in your jurisdiction
• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information
• Keep your registration details current
• Not have a previously suspended or terminated account due to violation of these Terms

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, all activities conducted under your account, notifying VoxDivina immediately of any unauthorized access, and not sharing or selling your account access to third parties.

VoxDivina offers the following access plans:

Exact features of each plan and current prices are detailed at voxdivina.com/plans. We reserve the right to adjust plan features with 30 days' advance notice.

New users may be eligible for a free trial of paid plans. Trial conditions:

• Duration: as indicated in the offer at registration (typically 7 to 30 days)
• Eligibility: only once per person/payment card/verified email address
• A valid payment method may be required for activation
• An email notification will be sent at least 3 days before the trial ends
• At the end of the trial, the plan automatically renews at the current rate unless cancelled before expiry
• Cancellation during Trial: no charge. Access remains active until the end of the trial period

Paid plan prices are displayed in Brazilian Reals (BRL) or the applicable local currency, including applicable taxes. Payments are processed exclusively by:

• Stripe — global processor, accepts international credit and debit cards (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Mercado Pago — Latin American processor, accepts Pix, bank slip, national cards, and digital wallet (Mercado Pago Privacy Policy)

VoxDivina never stores complete card numbers, CVV, or full banking details. We only store customer identifiers, subscription IDs, and plan status.

Paid plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel. By subscribing, you expressly authorize automatic charges to your registered payment method.

• Renewal notifications sent at least 7 days in advance (annual) or 3 days (monthly)
• Price changes at renewal will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
• To avoid renewal, cancel before the expiry date

You may cancel your subscription at any time, without penalty, through:

• Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan
• Email at [email protected] with subject “Subscription Cancellation”

After cancellation, paid plan access remains active until the end of the paid period. Your data, notes, and history are retained for 90 days after paid access ends, then converted to the free plan.

7-day satisfaction guarantee: if you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription (excluding Trial), requesting within 7 calendar days of the first charge, a full refund will be processed without question.

• Charges due to documented technical error (duplicate charges, confirmed cancellation failure) will be fully refunded
• Voluntary contributions to the Guardians program are non-refundable, except in the case of documented technical error

Refund requests: [email protected]. Response time: up to 5 business days. Processing time after approval: 5 to 10 business days depending on the payment provider.

VoxDivina Guardians are users who voluntarily contribute monthly amounts to sustain the platform's mission. Conditions:

• Contributions are entirely voluntary and distinct from plan subscriptions
• Processed by Stripe or Mercado Pago with receipt issued
• Guardians receive optional public recognition (name in the Guardians wall) and a special profile badge
• Contributions do not grant access to paid plans by themselves; premium access requires a separate subscription
• Non-refundable after confirmation, except in documented technical errors
• Recurring contributions can be cancelled at any time in Account Settings

VoxDivina is intended for personal, spiritual, educational, and non-commercial community Bible study. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, resell, or sublicense platform content without prior written authorization
• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automation to access the service in bulk or extract data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to obtain the platform source code
• Create or use multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations, Trial restrictions, or suspensions
• Share or sell account credentials or access to third parties
• Attempt to bypass security measures or access controls
• Publish, transmit, or store illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, pornographic, or violent content
• Use the service for direct commercial purposes without a specific license agreement
• Present AI-generated content as a definitive theological source or as professional pastoral, spiritual, or psychological advice

VoxDivina provides Bible texts from public domain and licensed translations. The Bible texts belong to their respective Bible societies, publishers, and translators. VoxDivina holds only a use license, not intellectual property rights over the licensed translations.

VoxDivina's own editorial content — including interface, design, source code, AI Features, generated audio, original reading plans, and support materials — is protected by Brazilian copyright law (Lei nº 9.610/1998) and applicable international legislation.

VoxDivina uses third-party AI technologies for AI Insights, voice synthesis, Chat AI, and reading recommendations. Important limitations you acknowledge:

• AI-generated responses are study support tools and may contain inaccuracies or errors
• AI content does not represent the official position of any religious denomination, church, or specific theology
• AI Features do not replace professional theological, pastoral, spiritual, or psychological advice
• Verify important information with primary sources and trusted religious leaders

Your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and LGPD/GDPR Declaration, incorporated into these Terms by reference. We comply with Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018), the EU GDPR (Regulation 2016/679), the California CCPA/CPRA, and equivalent applicable laws. DPO contact: [email protected].

All intellectual property rights over the VoxDivina brand, logo, visual identity, source code, interface, editorial content, AI Features, and generated audio belong exclusively to VoxDivina or its licensors. These Terms grant no intellectual property license beyond the right to personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable use of the service as described herein.

VoxDivina may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for: violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, non-payment after the grace period, court order or regulatory requirement, or prolonged account inactivity (over 24 months). You may voluntarily request account closure at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.

VoxDivina is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VoxDivina is not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content, spiritual or personal decisions based on platform content, data loss from technical failures, temporary service unavailability, indirect or consequential damages, or third-party acts.

Our total liability is limited to the greater of: (a) the total paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the event; or (b) USD 10.00 (ten US dollars).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes not resolved amicably will be submitted to the courts of São Paulo/SP, Brazil. For EU users: the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email with at least 15 days' advance notice and highlighted in the account dashboard for 30 days. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
